July 9

We moved the boat on Saturday to get fuel and go to the southern part of Tahiti. We woke up at 5:30 because the boat had to be gone before the canoe races started downtown. By the time we got fuel and looked at the pass we were supposed to go out (too much surf) we decided to drop anchor off Maeva Beach and relax - hey we can - its part of the lifestyle. The view is awesome, the water clean and we sneak into the Hotel to swim in the pool. There are a lot of boats anchored here - over a 100 but the anchorage is huge so we don't really notice it. Then we discovered the water maker leaking and fixed it. Then we would have only had 3 days down south so we decided to relax instead.

We still have a slight touch of ciguetera. My legs still get very crampy every night and I suffer from extreme fatigue periodically. It has been 3 weeks since the onset and we are much, much, better, but little things linger.

I am starting to paint all the wood again. It has been over 3 months since Mexico and the wood is thirsty. I sanded all the problem areas and primed them. I will do a couple of coats in the next couple of days.
